AICE Media Studies- loading to divide and conquer

  So Kevin, Zane, Jackson, and I ran into some things this week that made Zane want to revise the Edits in the opening. Zane was watching tv and when scrolling through channels he came upon a marvel movie or Tv show that was the same genre of the video he was creating. I forgot the name of the show however it gave all of us the perfect idea for any transitions. On every thud of a beat. the camera change or cuts showing new words. Now the song Zane, Jackson, and I are doing does not have many beats and is more on the cinematic side. But Jackson came to the conclusion that less transitions might be better. Since this is a more cinematic vibe. Zane plans to do transitions through long clips. Kevin, Zane, Jackson, and I figure that Zane doesn’t need to have many transitions if we just use the long clips that Zane has. On top of that, Zane, Jackson, and I found some new online color correction presets that Zane enjoyed more than his custom ones. He is still on the hunt for one that looks exactly like the video to get the expensive camera feel. But he has yet to find one. Zane was talking to some friends that are not in our power trio group, and they gave him some constructive help that assisted Zane in seeing things that my group didn't see. The darkness of the video seemed overwhelming to them, and they said they can tell it was severely edited. This was the opposite of my intentions so it brought me back to the drawing board on this color correction issue. For the time being Kevin, Zane, Jackson, and I have found a preset that Zane believes looks very good. Kevin, Zane, Jackson, and I will discuss within the group when I go back through them, along with the friends who gave Zane some help. I believe I fixed the problem. but again I am really trying to make this video look like it was filmed by a professional filming company. Once Kevin, Zane, Jackson, and I  get over this curve on the visual appeal of the video I feel that Zane, Jackson, and I will be close to the finish line. I will let you all know what my peers say about Zane’s  in the next blog. But after we complete the small flaws in editing, this video will be done! I am very excited for the new things I can learn after this project!

 My first day back was long. I was already in enough pain as it is sitting down but now I have to move class to class. The thin that probably bothers me the most are the people. Everyone jokes about it.  I already started having negative thoughts. The following day someone took my crutches and ran, I eventually got them back. All my teachers were more or less understanding. this allows me to attack my work pile at a reasonable pace. So it relieves stress, However this doesn't mean I'm not though. I fear I wont be able to catch up and let everyone down. I've been trying my best to record clips of people doing the motion. I ended up with about 33 different clips. Then sadly we came to an agreement that we should change the format that the video should be in. So the that means the 33 clips are useless at this point. AICE Media Studies-How things are going

  I’m back again with some fulfilling news. With spring break around the corner we have a lot to get done. However we have plenty of time to get the work done. Since my surgery on my knee I have made a lot of progress with walking in doing other things that will help with my mobility in the film. Hopefully by the time Zane Kevin Jackson and I are ready to film I could be used to my fullest potential so we don’t have any problems when filming. Jackson has been busy with baseball because baseball season is in full swing now so he doesn’t have a lot of time to work or communicate with the rest of the group. However we figured out a way to communicate in between practices and games so there won’t be any issues when it comes time to film. Zane has also had a very busy schedule with football practice and homework from other classes. Kevin has been loaded with math work to the point where his bag is overflowing with papers.   After a very long and hard process. Sweat and confused feelings we finally finished. This being my first project with this group I enjoyed it a lot. My group was very helpful and understanding with my injury. They are as well as smart, hardworking, and pretty funny individuals.
