AICE Media Studies-Conventions and codes

 My song is a Hip Hop song, in these style of music videos, you usually see people in nice cars or there is a story that follows the song. A common story is a love/romance story.  Also, at times it could be a very upbeat way of srtist expressing their feelings.

Commonly they have luxury props and designer clothes, in this genre, it is common to see people flaunting their success. 

Most videos are told in a story that directly correlates to the song. 

Hip hop videos also consist of happy people and partying. 

The type of video depends on the context and contents of the song. 

  1. 1. Convention and Codes for hip-hop videos is dancing and people having a good time. They tend to be artistic and abstract in some cases, depending on the artist's style. 

  1. 2. In most videos, the artist is being seen from an angle that is focused on them. Most videos have a producer tag or sound that the artist is known for, so that the listener or viewer already knows who the artist is before they listen. 

  1. 3. Most hip-hop music videos use ethos to help tell a story that is in their song. Most commonly, this story is about a breakup between two lovers.

 My first day back was long. I was already in enough pain as it is sitting down but now I have to move class to class. The thin that probably bothers me the most are the people. Everyone jokes about it.  I already started having negative thoughts. The following day someone took my crutches and ran, I eventually got them back. All my teachers were more or less understanding. this allows me to attack my work pile at a reasonable pace. So it relieves stress, However this doesn't mean I'm not though. I fear I wont be able to catch up and let everyone down. I've been trying my best to record clips of people doing the motion. I ended up with about 33 different clips. Then sadly we came to an agreement that we should change the format that the video should be in. So the that means the 33 clips are useless at this point. AICE Media Studies-How things are going

  I’m back again with some fulfilling news. With spring break around the corner we have a lot to get done. However we have plenty of time to get the work done. Since my surgery on my knee I have made a lot of progress with walking in doing other things that will help with my mobility in the film. Hopefully by the time Zane Kevin Jackson and I are ready to film I could be used to my fullest potential so we don’t have any problems when filming. Jackson has been busy with baseball because baseball season is in full swing now so he doesn’t have a lot of time to work or communicate with the rest of the group. However we figured out a way to communicate in between practices and games so there won’t be any issues when it comes time to film. Zane has also had a very busy schedule with football practice and homework from other classes. Kevin has been loaded with math work to the point where his bag is overflowing with papers. AICE Media Studies- The victory

  After a very long and hard process. Sweat and confused feelings we finally finished. This being my first project with this group I enjoyed it a lot. My group was very helpful and understanding with my injury. They are as well as smart, hardworking, and pretty funny individuals.
