AICE Media Studies- The Plan

 Kellan, Elijah and i decided to create an advertisement on apple phones. Kellan, Elijah and i chose apple phones because I had a vision of how Kellan could edit the clips of each actor. To elaborate I envisioned each of the actors that we had doing the same action picking up their ringing phone and saying “hello?”. Kellan, Elijah and I would find actors on the street and ask them if they could participate in our production. Kellan, Elijah, and I would then direct them on the proper steps that they need to take in order for each clip seamless together. Kellan, Elijah, and I chose to do our production on Monday. Kellan, Elijah, and I chose this date because we felt as if it would be the best day out of all of our schedules. Most of our actors would be anyone kellan, Elijah, and I saw while walking near restaurants by school. The day of filming kellan, Elijah and I decided that kellan, Elijah and I would scrap the original idea, and do a “day in the life of a phone” idea. At first I asked if I could film people I saw in a park in order to get clips needed for the video. After doing so Kellan thought of the weaknesses to that video and Elijah and I thought of a better idea. The following day Kellan, Elijah and I decided to create a video in which actors of our choosing would have their phones follow them around for a day. The idea was something that Kellan, Elijah, and I all thought was brilliant and Kellan, Elijah, and I ran with it. Kellan, Elijah, and I decided that Kellan, Elijah, and I would be the actors and began making a general draft for Kellan, Elijah, and i storyboard. I decided that the storyboard should show a shot of each of us. The shots should correspond with the setting in time of day. One shot would be taken early in the morning where the actor would be lying down and their phone with buzz. The next shot would be a different actor brushing their teeth, with a timer on their phone. The next shot would be the phone in the car, with a different actor, looking out the window. The shot was then cut to a scene of the phone looking down the hallway of a school. The final shot would be a split screen of all the actors getting home and lying down on their bed after a weary day, and then their phone buzzes telling them that they have homework to do.
